Shegoal is a non-profit organization established on October 1, 2021. Our aim is to promote women’s sports in Ghana and Africa as a whole. We believe African girls always have to jump through so many hurdles before they can play the sport they love and freely live the Sports culture as they deem fit. She-goal wants to change that narrative because the notion that girls who play sports are daft, too masculine (Obaabarima) and illiterate still prevails in our society. We want to debunk those notions by giving young girls opportunities and an enabling environment that encourages them to successfully pursue their education and sports lives concurrently. We believe African girls can have it ALL and they will. This dream was founded by Sandra Ansua Yeboah and Esther Owusua Appiah-Fei.
